Our Chiptool prototyping service:

1. Start drawing

Your idea, your design

We need you to take care of the design! You can choose between a microscope-slide format or credit-card size – just download the template you need below. And to make things easier, we have put together a handy prototyping guideline to help you during the design.

2. Upload

Upload your design

When you’re done drafting, kindly upload the design directly on this page or simply send it via email to your Axxicon contact, referring to our “Chiptool” prototyping service. Be sure to specify the quantity and material!

 

3. Review & Quote

Checked by an Engineer

Once we get your file, we’ll check it out and send you an offer the next day. If your design needs a bit of tweaking, we’ll get back to you with some expert tips.

4. Approval & Start production

Waiting to get started

Our production is waiting for your approval to get started. Everything is already prepared and waiting to implement the final product geometry. Once we have a go, it takes about a week to get your parts from a design into steel and to a moulded part.

Axxicon’s expertise and DFM

To help you in this early phase of development, we want you to focus on what you do best — working on the fluidics. Don’t worry about the manufacturing or molding details like draft angles or corner radii; that’s our specialty, and we’ve got it covered.

Once we get your design, our engineers will tweak it to fit perfectly with our machinery, ensuring a smooth and flawless production process.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

  • We offer a range of materials for your prototyping needs. Kindly indicate your preference in the RFQ form. Should you require a different material, please contact us, and we will verify its availability.
    • COC

    • PC
    • PMMA
  • You have the option to select microscope slides with luer, mini-luer or without connectors, which are positioned as per our guidelines (in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 22916_2023).
  • If you’ve selected without luer, a hole of 1mm remains. Please contact us if you need help searching your preferred connector.
  • Regarding bonding, please inform us if you wish to include a bonding foil. Options include PSA foil or adhesives sheets in various thicknesses.
  • Please note, a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces applies.
